We're Expecting!!!

My husband and I have an exciting announcement to make...we're expecting!  But not in the usual way you're probably thinking of.  We're beginning the process to add a little girl to our family through adoption.  Why have we chosen adoption?  Well, years ago we  planned our family; like many couples, we wanted one boy and one girl.  In 2004, we were blessed with the birth of our son.  Although we were overjoyed to have our little boy, the birth experience was a traumatic one for me, and we gave up the idea of having our little girl.  Recently though, the idea came to us that we could still fulfill our dream of adding a little girl to our family through adoption.  It makes no difference to us whether our daughter is biologically related to us—we just want a little girl to love. 

We know that God has already chosen the little girl who is meant to be ours; now we just need to be patient as we go through the lengthy adoption process.  We are so excited and wish we could bring her home right now! We ask for your thoughts and prayers as we start on this journey and I'll keep you updated as we make progress.

Hey Lady! Congrats on the new addition to your family! My best friend in high school was adopted and she has always been very proud of that. Her parents gave her all the love in the world and she is a very strong, loving lady!
